The MoPRO database brings together biographical information, drawn from archival and bibliographical sources, on the missionaries of the Province of the Rosary of the Order of Preachers between 1587 and 1940. Conceived as a research tool for the historical study of missionary networks, trajectories, and institutional mobility, it provides a structured basis for examining the human fabric of the Province across more than three centuries. By December 2025, data relating to the period 1587–1900 had been compiled, amounting to 2,120 records. Access to MoPRO is currently restricted to members of the project’s research team.
