We are the Genome Integrity & Reproductive Biology (GIRB) Group and we aim to tackle fundamental questions on the mechanisms responsible for the origin, maintenance and transmission of genome integrity in cells and organisms.

Main objectives:

  • Exploring the evolutionary plasticity and function of higher-order vertebrate genome organization.
  • Studying the mechanisms that control cell and genome integrity in health and disease.
  • Understanding the cellular, molecular, and (epi)genetic basis of (in)fertility and the interference of environmental factors.
