Aurora Ruiz-Herrera Moreno – Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biosciences of UAB and Coordinator of the GIRB group. She has +20 years of experience on the study of the structural, functional and evolutionary aspects of genome organization, paying special attention to the germ line.
Josep Santaló – Full Professor of Cell Biology at the Faculty of Biosciences of UAB. His work is focused on new strategies of derivation and characterization of the state of pluripotency of mouse and human Embryonic Stem Cells from isolated blastomeres.
Anna Genescà – Full Professor at the UAB. She has contributed to the understanding of the mechanisms of genome instability, which often proceed through the formation of structures with abnormal architecture (chromosome bridges and micronuclei).
Carme Nogués – Full Professor at the Faculty of Biosciences of UAB. Her research activity is focused on the study of the interaction between cells and newly developed materials for implants, focusing on the interaction between cells and the material or device developed.
Elena Ibañez – Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biosciences of UAB. She works on the development of new protocols for oocyte enucleation and the study of the role of signaling pathways on embryonic stem cells (ESC) derivation from single blastomeres. She is also interested in cells and microparticles interactions.
Joan Blanco – Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biosciences of UAB. His research aims to develop comprehensive and multidisciplinary studies in the field of reproductive genetics, paying special attention to the study of the genetic basis of human male infertility.
Laura Tusell – Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biosciences of UAB. Her scientific interest has focused mainly on the field of chromosome structure and the response pathways to DNA damage and the generation of chromosomal instability.
Ignasi Roig – Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biosciences of UAB. His research is focused on understanding the signalling pathway that controls the progression of meiotic recombination in mammalian meiocytes.
Marta Martín – Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biosciences of UAB. Her current line of research is focused on the description of aging and cellular senescence biomarkers associated with mechanisms that trigger genomic instability,
