PhD. Anna Cortés, from HPCA4SE research group, assisted Wifire 2015 Modelling Workshop, held in January in San Diego city, United States. During this workshop Anna presented the paper Towards Data-Driven Operational Wildfire Spread Modeling and joined in a discussion group. The discussion points in the group were what kind of data are needed and available today for model validation and what kind of infrastructure is needed to coordinate the efforts of the research community and build a framework for data and models.
