The International Convention Center of Barcelona hosted the Congress of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) from 22 to 26 May 2018 and LAPREC was represented at the event.
The director of LAPREC, Teresa Velázquez, and the researcher Ricardo Carniel Bugs participated in the panel entitled “Borders, migrations and imaginaries of European territories of a global Latin America”, in which they presented the presentations “Media, migrations and thematic agenda” and “The presence of Human Rights in the journalistic stories on Migration “, respectively.
Also, the magazine deSignis also had its space of diffusion, with a stand in the space of exhibitors of scientific publications of the congress. deSignis is a journal associated with the Latin American Federation of Semiotics (FELS) and its online version is freely available.
