The Roig Lab was delighted to welcome Dr. Yan Huang back to Barcelona during a recent visit. Yan completed her PhD in our lab in 2022, where she played a key role in several research projects focused on reproductive biology and ovarian aging.

Since defending her thesis, Yan has continued to build an impressive scientific career as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Her current work explores fundamental questions in germ cell and developmental biology, further expanding the expertise she developed during her doctoral training.

To celebrate her visit, the lab came together for a relaxed lunch and an opportunity to reconnect. The afternoon was filled with lively conversations about science, research opportunities, career development, and life after the PhD. It was inspiring to hear about Yan’s experiences abroad and the exciting directions her research has taken since leaving the lab.

Visits like these are a wonderful reminder that the connections built during graduate training extend far beyond graduation. We are incredibly proud to see our alumni thriving and making important contributions to science around the world.

Thank you for visiting us, Yan. It was fantastic to have you back in the lab, and we look forward to welcoming you again in the future!! 🎉🧬🍽️
