On Tuesday, 15 September, we held a lively discussion with Marco Armiero about his new book, “Vajont: The Political Ecology of an Unnatural Disaster”, published by MIT Press. The book provides interesting insights into the process of memory-making, the importance of people’s narratives, and epistemic justice.
The event was co-hosted by the CNS Journal, Resistance: A Journal of Radical Environmental Humanities, the Wrench Project, and the Radical Environmental Humanities Hub (REH2).
David Pellow introduced and coordinated the event on behalf of Resistance. Welcome addresses were given by Daniel Faber from CNS, Giusy Pappalardo from the Wrench Team and REH2. There was an insightful discussion of the book led by Roberta Biasillo, and Rob Nixon, to which viewers of the live stream contributed, as did the author.
