On 28 January 2026, the 12th edition of the Teaching English Language and Culture (TELLC) Workshop will be held at the Sala d’Actes (Facultat de Filosofia i Lletres) from 9:00 – 14:00. Organized and coordinated by Dr Sara Martín, the event brings together the teaching staff of the Department of English and German Studies to discuss and reflect on classroom methodologies, tasks and experiences.
This year, the Beyond Postmemory group will present our FAS-funded initiative “Words Beyond War.” Dr Cristina Pividori will introduce the pedagogical activities developed in collaboration with KUDWA, which fostered meaningful engagement among students, staff, and the asylum seeker community by reflecting on war memory, displacement, and representation. The outcome demonstrates that the university spaces can be sites of reparative encounters that reshape how conflict is studied, remembered, and publicly addressed.
