Franco Della Felice obtained his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Campinas (2019) under the supervision of Prof. R. A. Pilli, working on total synthesis and structural elucidation of secondary metabolites. During this period, he completed a research stay at the University of Texas at Austin with Prof. M. J. Krische, focused on the application of transition-metal reductive coupling methodologies. He then joined the group of Prof. A. M. Echavarren at ICIQ (2019–2022), where he continued to develop his interest in homogeneous transition-metal catalysis. He next joined Prof. J. G. Roelfes group at the University of Groningen (2022-2025) to work on the development of new-to-nature reactions through the design of artificial metalloenzymes. In November 2025, he was appointed Serra Húnter Lecturer at the UAB. His research interests center on integrating bio- and chemo-catalysis to address fundamental challenges in organic chemistry.
