FADO-ME supports European goals for inclusive cultural policy and heritage-led sustainable development by creating a step change in public awareness of fado as a living tradition.
Public talks and events, and educational workshops on cultural sustainability will engage participants from the general public, academics, and industry actors. These activities will foster cross-sector dialogue and knowledge exchange, while increasing recognition of fado’s viability in global cultural markets.
