FADO-ME’s research and training are organised into six interrelated work packages (WPs), each one tied to specific project objectives and with a clear timeline.
Each work package includes tasks, deliverables, and milestones for effective monitoring. Interdisciplinary training, policy communication, and a non-academic placement support both the scientific aims and the researcher’s professional growth.

Exploring how fado singers engage with global markets through self-promotion, aesthetic strategies, and genre hybridity.

Contextualising fado within broader Iberian heritage music practices, focusing on Spanish artists known for blending genres and performing globally.
Work Package 4
Ensuring the smooth and timely execution of the fellowship covering project coordination, progress tracking, and reporting.
Work Package 5
Maximising project visibility through academic and public dissemination. Ensuring communication of results to a broad range of audiences.
Work Package 6
Supporting career development skills. Gaining applied experience in cultural policy.
