Collaborators

Mauricio Salgado is a research fellow and associate professor of sociology of sociology, formalisation and simulation of social dynamics at the School of Sociology, Universidad Andrés Bello (Viña del Mar, Chile). He is also principal investigator in the project “Social Preference and Class Inequality in Chile”, funded by the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICYT). He was a postdoctoral research fellow at GSADI (2012-2013) in the project “Social and environmental transitions: Simulating the past to understand human behaviour (SimulPast)”, part of the framework CONSOLIDER-INGENIO 2010. Mauricio holds a PhD from the University of Surrey, where he carried out his research on computational sociology at the Centre for Research in Social Simulation (CRESS), based in the Department of Sociology at the University of Surrey (United Kingdom), under the supervision of Professor Nigel Gilbert. Mauricio obtained his degree in Sociology (Magna Cum Laude) at the Universidad Alberto Hurtado (Chile).
