Between 2003 and 2022, IFMuC has been supported by several MiCInn/MinEco research projects awarded to the research group (SGR) of Patrimoni Musical de Catalunya (PatMuC) of the UAB. These grants have made it possible to cover the various infrastructure, publications, subsistence and travel expenses of the project.
Between 2006 and 2010, the Subdirecció General d’Arxius del Departament de Cultura i Mitjans de Comunicació of the Generalitat de Catalunya collaborated in subsidizing the tasks of describing the musical collections that were in the process of being treated by the project, at the same time sponsored the publication of the first five printed catalogues.
As of 2018, the IFMuC is integrated into the program “Fontes Musicæ Cataloniæ: cataloguing, editing and dissemination of the compositional, iconographic and oral tradition repertoires of Catalonia (1450-1950)”, of the Historical-Archaeological Section of Institut d’Estudis Catalans, and participates in the coordination of the portal Fontes Musicae Cataloniae web portal of the same institution.
