PhD. Eva Penelo

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1997 and a PhD in Psychology in 2009 from UAB. In 2006, she completed a postgraduate program in “Statistics in Health Sciences” and obtained a Master’s degree in “Research Methodology in Health Sciences” in 2008 at the Applied Statistics and Modeling Laboratory at UAB. She has been a professor at UAB since 1997, teaching courses in Psychometrics and Statistical and Psychometric Models, as well as supervising Bachelor’s thesis in Psychology and in the official Master’s programs in Clinical and Health Psychology Research, and General Health Psychology. She has co-supervised eight doctoral theses in the Doctoral programs in Clinical and Health Psychology and Health Psychology and Sports Psychology at UAB. She conducted research stays at the Parc Taulí Health Corporation in 2006, the Medical University of Vienna in 2010, and Leiden University in 2012. She has contributed to over 120 publications in indexed journals, mainly in the first or second quartile. Her primary research interests focus on test validation and growth curve modeling. In addition to her teaching and research work, since 2011, she has been involved in university management tasks at the unit and Faculty of Psychology levels.
