The Alabama Parenting Questionnaire (APQ) is an instrument designed by Dr. Paul Frick with the aim of measuring several dimensions of parental educational practices that have proven to be important for understanding the development of behavioural problems and delinquency in the child and adolescent population: involvement, positive parenting, inconsistent discipline, poor monitoring/supervision, and corporal punishment.
There are several versions:
- APQ Child Global Report.
- APQ Child Telephone Interview.
- APQ Parent Global Report.
- APQ Parent Telephone Interview.
The Huma Lab research group requested authorization from the author Paul Frick to carry out the Catalan adaptation of the written version of fathers/mothers and children and to study its psychometric properties.
The version of the self-report for parents can be downloaded here and the version for children here.
