Kristijan Nikolić took a university degree in English Language and Literature in the English Department of the Faculty of Humanities, Zagreb University in 2000 and PhD degree in Translation Studies from the University of Vienna in 2012.
He works in the English Department of Zagreb University from 2001.
In August 2016 he was appointed Honorary Research Associate at CenTraS, University College London. From 2017 he has been teaching Translation Technology, Audiovisual Translation and Localisation at Middlesex University, London.
Kristijan Nikolić was a member of the Executive Board of ESIST between 2008 and 2018, and he was the founding president of the Croatian Association of Audiovisual Translators, DHAP. He worked as a freelance subtitler for the Croatian public broadcaster (HRT) and SDI Media for 20 years.
