On Friday 28 March, the Sala Polivalent at the Àgora building filled with voices, stories and reflections during the Storytelling Session organised as part of the “Words Beyond War” initiative. The event was a collaborative event between FAS (Fundació Autònoma Solidària), the KUDWA associationthe Group for the Representation of Conflict (G4RoC), and the Beyond Postmemory Project (POSTLIT).

Led by members of KUDWA, the session invited our BA, MA and PhD students to reflect on the power of storytelling as a tool for engaging with war, migration, and displacement—not only through literary texts, but also through the lived experiences of those directly affected. The format combined a short theoretical introduction with hands-on activities and a lively open discussion, which encouraged dialogue across backgrounds and disciplines.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and especially to Mostafa Shokri, our facilitator from KUDWA, whose generosity and creativity made the session meaningful, and to our interns Ivette, Jules and Lucía, who designed a wonderful poster and helped with the logistics.
