On Friday 25 April March, we had the pleasure of holding a Role-Play Workshop organised as part of the “Words Beyond War” initiative. The event was a collaborative initiative between FAS (Fundació Autònoma Solidària), the KUDWA association, the Group for the Representation of Conflict (G4RoC), and the Beyond Postmemory Project (POSTLIT).

Through embodied storytelling, BA and MA students and members of KUDWA stepped into the lives of asylum seekers, border guards, war veterans, journalists, and activists. Together, we explored how truth is shaped by who tells the story—and who is silenced. The workshop challenged us to think critically about representation, voice, and the ethics of narrative in times of conflict and displacement.

From high-stakes interviews to tense editorial meetings, the scenarios pushed us to reflect and question. We’re grateful to everyone who joined and contributed so thoughtfully.
