The PhD thesis “Nuevas estrategias para el diseño de sistemas Chipless-RFID y aplicaciones” (New strategies for the design of Chipless-RFID systems and applications), by Cristian Herrojo, has been awarded with one of the UAB Extraordinary Doctorate Awards of the academic year 2017/18.
Its main objective is to develop different Chipless-RFID strategies or systems to increase information capacity, contributing to the advance and development of this technology. It also focuses on applying the different strategies provided in a real environment. Mainly, its applicability in documentary security and/or authentication is demonstrated (to avoid falsifications or copies of official documents, examinations, ballots, medical prescriptions, etc.), for the development of angular velocity sensors, or working as presence sensors with identification capability.
