A central problem in the quantum information theory is the characterization
and quantification of entanglement. One approach to advance this direction is the use
of symmetries in quantum systems. For bipartite states, the situation becomes simpler,
since there are only symmetric (bosonic) and antisymmetric (fermionic) states. In my
talk, I will cover three topics: First, I will explain how to quantify multipartite entanglement
from the geometric perspective (see, e.g., [1,2]). Second, I will present our results about
subspaces in which all states are highly entangled, based on chiral symmetries [3]. Third,
I will discuss the usefulness of our results for applications in quantum information processing.
