Professor Andreas Winter awarded a Whitehead Prize for his major contributions to key areas of quantum information theory.

The London Mathematical Society awards several Prizes each year for achievements in and contributions to mathematics. The Council for the London Mathematical Society announced the 2012 Prize winners at the Society Meeting held at University College London on 29 June 2012. The awards will be presented at the Society’s Annual General Meeting on 16 November 2012
