The workshop “Recent Advances in Continuous-variable Quantum Information Theory” will be held in the GIQ Seminar Room@UAB between 6-8 April 2016.

Description: The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers working in the field of the physics of systems with continuous degrees of freedom and the field of quantum information theory. The primary motivation is to discuss various theoretical aspects and to promote greater interaction among the fields. Topics to be discussed include correlations of states, entropic properties and communication capacities of channels, cryptography, mathematical aspects of states and channels, designs, tomography, non-classicality, and phase space methods. The emphasis is on recent developments and open challenges.
