Background cancellation for frequency-selectve quantum sensing

Quantum sensing is concerned with the precise estimation of physical quantities, ranging from the strength of a magnetic field to the frequency of a time-dependent signal. Recently, non-linear sensors have emerged as a powerful tool for extracting information from such signals without the need for highly engineered control schemes. In this talk, I will present a quantum sensor capable of probing unknown time-dependent signals even in the presence of arbitrary background fields. Our approach harnesses entanglement together with controlled, yet time-independent, interactions to enable robust and efficient signal detection.
