I will introduce the mathematical framework describing
any measurements on quantum processes being the
channel’s counterpart of POVMs. I will briefly discuss
its elementary properties, discuss connections and
differences in comparison with POVMs.  I will show application of
this framework in problems of unambiguous discrimination
and comparison of quantum unitary gates.
