Self-testing is a method to infer the underlying state and measurement operators used in an experiment in a device-independent manner, i.e. treating the devices as black boxes. I will introduce self-testing and give a simple example. Then, based on the works [1], and [2], I will show how self-testing can be used to certify device-independently the entanglement of any entangled quantum state.
