Following the work of Julian Barbour and collaborators, I will argue—based solely on classical mechanics—that (1) time doesn’t exist (i.e., it is redundant as a fundamental concept), (2) periodic processes are not the basis of any clock, and (3) the origin of the arrow of time is not entropic but mechanical.
