In this talk I will discuss two problems in the theory of quantum measurements that have been hotly debated in recent years: incompatibility and sharpness. I will show how approaching the debate from a resource-theoretic perspective can provide a solution. Our construction is based on the theory of statistical comparison — in particular, on a variant of the Blackwell-Sherman-Stein theorem for quantum channels.
