As part of her ERASMUS+ internship Klaudia A. Kurszynska, a GREIP PhD student, had the opportunity to spend a week at the University of Wroclaw, Poland, from April 3rd to April 7th. During this time, she worked with Dr Anna Czura on the pedagogical application of linguistic landscapes in foreign language classrooms. This experience proved to be highly beneficial for the student, as she was able to gain a range of new skills and knowledge.

One of the key skills the student developed during her time at the University of Wroclaw was data analysis. She had the chance to learn about the data analysis methodology used by the university’s colleagues in their projects, which helped her develop her own data analysis skills. In addition, she also had the opportunity to observe teacher training master level courses. This allowed her to broaden her knowledge of teaching strategies and gain insight into different approaches to foreign language teaching.

Finally, Klaudia was able to take part in linguistic landscape data collection in Wroclaw. This gave her hands-on experience with data collection skills, which are essential for any researcher working in the field of linguistics. Overall, the student’s experience at the University of Wroclaw was incredibly valuable. She was able to gain a range of new skills and knowledge that will undoubtedly benefit her in her future studies and research. This experience is a great example of how ERASMUS+ internships can provide students with unique opportunities to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in their field.
