Recently, as a recognized research group with expertise in linguistic diversity, GREIP was contacted to participate in a local TV talk show. Representing GREIP, our colleague and vice dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Dolors Masats, was interviewed on issues regarding minority and majority languages. In her very poised, didactic yet humorous style, Dolors clearly outlined the importance of promoting sustainable linguistic attitudes and practices and valuing all languages, beyond their official status -or lack of such. She also explained GREIP’s main interests and tasks, which involve preparing future teachers for our plurilingual societies.
