At the IALIC 2025 Conference – Onto-epistemic turn in Interculturality: Revitalising Knowledges from Place, held virtually from Auckland, New Zealand (21–23 November 2025), Melinda Dooly and Maria Mont (PhD candidate supervised by Dolors Masats and Dooly) delivered a well-received presentation titled “Learning across waters: Young learners co-creating across cultures and contexts.” The session attracted a strong turnout, with participants attending to hear the presenters discuss how young learners engage in intercultural, collaborative project work across diverse educational settings. Drawing on ongoing research, Dooly and Mont highlighted how co-creation practices support linguistic development, intercultural awareness, and learner agency.
