Claudia Vallejo and Melinda Dooly (along with Montserrat Oller and Maria Haro, teachers from the UAB Education faculty, specialized in Social Science Teaching) had an intensive day of research data collection with their long-time colleague, Dr. Alistair Ross, Jean Monnet Professor of Citizenship Education in Europe and retired director of the Institute of Policy Studies in Education (IPSE) in London. The researchers visited two schools in the Barcelona Metropolitan area: IES Pere Calders (Bellaterra) and IES Arraona (Sabadell). The data is part of a 14-country study entitled Young people’s constructions of identity in western Europe.
