The students at Ceip Purificació Salas Xandri in Sant Quirze de Valles were excited to be selected for the first piloting of the Virtual Reality project that GREIP will be carrying out over the next months. Mónica López, along with Melinda Dooly, are collaborating with researchers Dr. Randall Sadler and Tricia Thrasher at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign on a language learning study that uses a specially designed platform and immersive headsets for contextualized language lessons. The study is part of a wider Public-Private Partnership (PPP). It’s the start of an exciting adventure for all involved.
