Dr. Francisco Epelde is a specialist in Internal Medicine, having focused his professional activity on acute medical pathology in Emergency
Departments. In this sense, he has participated in several multicentre studies focused on the study of acute coronary syndrome (RESIM), atrial fibrillation (GARFIELD) and acute heart failure (EROHEART SURVEY; RICA REGISTRY). Dr Epelde has been the Coordinator of the Emergency Working Group of the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine for 8 years (2016 to 2024) and is currently its secretary.
Highlighted relevant merits include the Development of a system capable of performing simulations in emergency departments, and Participation in multicenter studies with high scientific output (RICA, Euroheart Survey, GARFIELD).
