Graduate in Psychology (2001) and PhD in Neurosciences (2010) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Master in Clinical and Health Psychology (2004) from the University of Vic. After completing her predoctoral fellowship, she joined the UAB Animal Physiology Unit as a Senior Research Technician between 2006-2019. She has participated in different national and international research projects that have allowed her to carry out different collaborations in State Universities and has published 22 articles in indexed international journals. She has been Associate Professor in the Psychobiology Unit of the UAB between 2014-2020 and Associate Professor in the Psychobiology Unit of the University of Granada during the years 2020-2023. Currently, she is a Full Professor in the Psychobiology Unit, Faculty of Psychology of the UAB and a researcher at the Institute of Neurosciences of the UAB. Member of the Joint Unit of Translational Neuroscience Institut de Neurociències UAB/Parc Taulí. She has supervised 13 Final Degree Projects and one Master’s Final Project. She has carried out various activities to disseminate science and transfer it to the productive sector. Her main field of interest has been the Neurobiology of stress and vulnerability to Psychopathology using animal models and more recently human populations. She has especially focused on the study of the impact of early adversity, on the study of sexual differences and on the assessment of the cognitive and emotional consequences associated with stress.
