Como he mencionado, pronto impartiré una asignatura optativa sobre autobiografías y memorias (en inglés). En preparación, he estado elaborando una lista de 100 textos notables anteriores al siglo XXI en esos géneros, aparte de la lista de libros del siglo XXI que mis alumnos deben leer (cada estudiante elige cuatro de esta lista).
Este tipo de lista es útil pero difícil de encontrar, así que comparto los resultados de mi trabajo. De estas obras, debería comentar en clase unas 50. Como se puede imaginar, cualquier selección es solo la punta del iceberg de dos géneros que han crecido enormemente desde principios de los años 90. Por cierto, he leído alrededor del 30% de todos los títulos aquí. Y he decidido usar los títulos originales de la lista; si tienes curiosidad, Wikipedia puede ayudarte a rastrear los libros en tu idioma preferido. El sesgo en la lista, por supuesto, es hacia el inglés, ya que mi asignatura es para el grado en Estudios Ingleses.
