Begonya Enguix

Research

Begonya Enguix is an associate professor at the UOC Arts and Humanities Studies and co-director of the Degree in Anthropology and Human Evolution (URV-UOC). She holds degrees in American Anthropology (Complutense University of Madrid) and Advertising (UCM-UOC), and a PhD in Social Anthropology (Rovira i Virgili University, Tarragona). He also has studies in Philosophy (University of Valencia).

In terms of research, his priority lines of research are: genders, bodies, sexualities, identities, urban anthropology and media anthropology. She has been a researcher at the Institute of Sociology and Anthropology of the Valencian Institute of Studies and Investigations (Generalitat Valenciana/Diputació de Valencia), of the School-Work Research Group (UAB) and has participated in research teams on migrations, anthropology of the body and gender and media, among others. It is part of the Research Group in Anthropology of the Body of the Catalan Institute of Anthropology and the Consolidated Research Group in Social Anthropology (URV).
