My research topics are Indigenous rituals with emphasis on Mayan agricultural rituals in the Yucatan Peninsula and reciprocal exchange networks. Sense of socio-territorial belonging in urban neighborhoods (barrios) and urbanized towns. Indigenous migration to urban and tourist areas, with interest in the pendular migration of the Maya in the Riviera Maya. Social networks, urban insertion, and community building in migratory spaces. Asymmetric interethnic relations with interest in Mayan peoples in a tourist context in the Riviera Maya. Indigenous youth, the use of the mother tongue and the recovery of cultural practices.
