Research

Director of the Urban and Peri-urban Environmental Studies Group of the Institute of Habitat and Environment, Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design of the National University of Mar del Plata (Argentina). My research focuses on the study of the complex relationships that emerge between society and nature over time. Starting from current debates around the notions of sustainability and sustainable development, my most recent research focuses on the construction and evaluation of environmental and sustainability indicators and indices whose fields of application include environmental and habitat management, territorial planning and environmental evaluation. My research experiences try to contribute with viable solutions to environmental and sustainability problems in different territorial areas through instances of linkage and transfer.
