Mònica Martínez Mauri

Research

Researcher and professor Serra Húnter at the University of Barcelona. Mònica Martínez has a PhD in Social Anthropology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. He has completed third-cycle studies in the field of social anthropology, development and international relations at the EHESS and the Institut Universitaire d’Etudes du Développement in Geneva. He has carried out fieldwork in the region of Kuna Yala (Panama). His research and publications are dedicated to the analysis of cultural mediation in contexts marked by development cooperation, representations of the environment, local tourism management and the implementation of indigenous rights. She has been a postdoctoral researcher, in the framework of the Juan de la Cierva program, in the CINAF Group (Indigenous and Afro-American Cultures) of the University of Barcelona and, in the framework of the Beatriu de Pinós program, at the University of Lleida.
