Research

My main topics of research and interest are colonial and post-colonial history, identity issues, nationalism and the notion of citizenship, “mixed” relationships, gender relations and intersectional feminisms. My academic research has focused on the Middle East and, more specifically, on the State of Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. In 2019, I received a Schumann Traineship to work at the Directorate General for External Relations of the European Parliament for the Middle East and North Africa. At the same time, I have worked as a researcher and consultant in human rights at local and international level, collaborating with different governments, NGOs and international organizations. Some of my research topics have been gender equality and the prevention of gender-based violence (Terrassa City Council, CAEPA-Cameroon), ethical audiovisual representation in the humanitarian sector (UNICEF) and, as well, land restoration practices in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNCCD).
