Melinda Dooly, member of GREIP, as part of a doctoral jury at the University of Antioquia (Colombia) participated in the defense digitally, through the use of online video conferencing. The opportunity to integrate technology into all spheres of academic life is one of the areas of research of our group and furthermore, it was the topic of the doctoral thesis dealt with this issue. The fact that Dr. Dooly participated in a lively debate concerning technology and multiple literacies at a distance of thousands of kilometers drives home the increasingly vital role of technology in education.
