Lauri Heimo

Lauri Heimo is a researcher and a doctoral student at the faculty of Social Policy, University of Tampere. He is currently working in the Academy of Finland-funded project “Epistemic Governance in Policymaking” and is a member of the Tampere Research Group for Cultural and Political Sociology.

His research interests include the transfer of public policies, development policies, global social policy and global governance. In his doctoral dissertation he studies conditional cash transfers, with a focus on the political viability and the policy discourse of the programs.
