Karina Batthyany Dighiero

She has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Versailles Saint Quentin in Yvelines (France). Since 1992,  she is a professor at the University of the Republic (UDELAR). She is currently Full Professor and full time researcher at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the Republic (Uruguay). She is a professor of research methodology and gender sociology. She was the coordinator of the Master in Sociology between 2010 and 2017 and is currently the coordinator of the PhD  in Sociology. She is a member of the National Research System, level II and  member of the Clacso Steering Committee.

Consultant of several international organizations: ECLAC, UnWomen, ILO, EuroSocial

Author of numerous publications on the topics of social welfare, gender, public policies, unpaid work and care.
