He is Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Seville. His research career has mainly developed into a long term project around the Peñarroya Miners Hospital archive (Hospital Minero de Peñarroya. Córdoba, Spain). The re-construction of almost 31.000 workers’ histories made a longitudinal and cohort analysis possible. Focus topic is labour health and labour risk management as a part of the broader workforce management. He is actually part of the team working on “The making of working class and work conditions in Spanish mining”.
