Cecilia Jiménez

Cecilia Inés Jiménez Zunino is a researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (Conicet). Theme of research: The transformation of social classes in Cordoba. Strategies of social reproduction in middle class trajectories (Institute of Humanities, National University of Cordoba). Ms. Jiménez Zunino holds a PhD in Sociology from the University Complutense of Madrid (September 2011) and a BA in Sociology from the Faculty of Social Sciences, National University of San Juan (August 2001). Teacher in Sociology. Faculty of Social Sciences, National University of San Juan (August 2001). Professor in Master´s Degree courses at National University of Córdoba (Argentina), University of Nantes (France), University of Santiago de Chile (Chile), and University of Murcia (Spain). Professor in PhD at National University of Villa María. Director of Project “Immigrants in the education system. An approach to the situation in the Greater Cordoba (2017-2019)”, and coordinator of the Program Research “Migration and Mobility in Critical Perspective”, together with Eduardo Domenech, at the Centre of Research and Studies for Culture and Society (CIECS-UNC) and the Centre of Advances Studies (CEA-UNC), both programs from 2018. Her research interests include middle classes, strategies of social reproduction, education, intergenerational mobility, and the research methods used are qualitative research (life history) and quantitative research.
