Auréline Cardoso

I am a PHD student in sociology. I study at the University of Toulouse II Jean-Jaurès (France) ; I started my PHD in October, 2014.

I got a master’s degree in sociology (gender, equality, social policies) in June, 2014, at the University of Toulouse II Jean-Jaurès. For my degree I studied both voluntary and paid work in a feminist organization, and this first research is extended by my thesis which is about paid work in feminist organizations. My work focuses particularly on work-related stress, and how employees try to avoid it, both alone and collectively.

At the same time, I teach sociology, mostly to first year students, and I took part in the organization of various seminars with other PHD students. Those seminars aimed to strenghten relations between the academic and associative sector. Apart from the university, I am an active member of some feminist organizations, in particular those which struggle for sexual and reproductive rights and against gender based violence.
