David Castells-Quintana

PhD in Economics by the University of Barcelona (UB) and currently works as postdoctoral researcher at the UAB and as adjunct lecturer at the UAB Foundation (FUAB). His research interests are focused on Urban Economics and Development Economics, and he is currently working on issues related to inequalities, urbanisation and the interplay between climate change and socio-economic dynamics. He collaborates with several research groups, including AQR-IREA, ESADE Foundation, and the Spanish Network of Development Studies (REEDES), and is actively involved in national and international research projects. He is author of multiple research works, including scientific papers in several prestigious journals, including World Development, Sustainable Development, Journal of Regional Science, Journal of Urban Economics, and Annals of Regional Science, among others. He has also recently published two books.
