Elisa Failache

Degree in Economics from the University of the Republic (Uruguay) in 2013 and Master in Economics and Finance from the Pompeu Fabra University in 2017. Currently studying a PhD in Applied Economics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona working on issues of inequality, in particular the effect of investment and innovation in firms on inequality, under the supervision of Xavier Ramos. Previously she has worked in the area of inequality and poverty both in research in the Institute of Economics of the University of the Republic and in public policy design in the Ministry of Social Development of Uruguay. In addition, she has taught courses in Introduction to Economics and Macroeconomics, at the University of the Republic and at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Her subjects of interest are inequality and poverty, particularly for developing countries.
