Gustavo Castillo Rozas

Gustavo Castillo Rozas is Director of the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Concepcion (Chile), and teacher of the postgraduate programs: Master in Social Work and Social Policies, Master in Family Intervention and Diploma in Management of Social Policies.

Graduate in Social Work from the University of Concepción (Chile), Master in Social Welfare: Individual, family and group intervention, with specialization in Aging and Dependence, and Doctor of Social Sciences, Labor and Human Resources from the University of Valencia (Spain).

During his postgraduate studies, he obtained the Cinc Segles Scholarship of Excellence from the Universitat de València, with which he was incorporated as a junior researcher at the Polibienestar Institute where he developed research projects with European funding, and as a teacher to the Department of Social Work and Social Services In the same university, where he dictated class in degree and postgraduate. He has developed research stays in England and Scotland.

His area of research focuses on the national and international comparison of social policies, states and models of welfare, with various publications, book chapters and a book.
