Gustavo Di Santo

Gustavo Di Santo is currently a PhD student in Politics, Culture, and Development at the Università della Calabria (UNICAL). His studies focus on the analysis of the relationship between religious variable and individual decision-making in socio-economic sphere. At present, he studies in Brazil the evangelical expansion effects of Pentecostal and Neo – Pentecostal type on society in cooperation with the faculty of Social Sciences of the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).

Between 2011 and 2013 he holds a Master Degree in Political Science and International Relations at the Università della Calabria and between 2008 and 2011 he achieved a BA in Political Sciences, specialization in International Studies, at Università della Calabria (UNICAL), Italy. In period of 2009-2010 he studied in the framework of Erasmus Program at the Institut d’Études Politiques (IEP) of Lille (France), where he obtained the Certificat d’Études Politiques. In 2013 he carried out a research at the Universidade Federal do Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil, within the MOST Programme of the Università della Calabria (UNICAL) . The aim was to analyze the different impact between Protestant and Catholic beliefs on the decisional process of the believer in the socio-economic field.

He is also a EU-Projects Designer and Manager and board member in a local NGO in Italy: Paolab (http://paolab.eu/) focused on rural development and social integration. In 2015 he managed the project: Express your message, communication without words, (Paola-Italy) in the framework of “Erasmu+” Programme, Key Action: Learning Mobility of Individuals. He was facilitators and participant in others projects of the “Youth in Action” Program of European Commission.
